• Our mission is to facilitate travellers (growing) desire to reduce and remove their CO2 Footprint and the impact it may have on global warming but without having to resort to staying at home.

Our Values

At Carbonza, we believe we all have a part to play and the travel industry is no different even though the CO2 Footprint is small in comparison to some of the big industry emitters it is one the highest for a given period per capita. And that leisure travel is an elective unnecessary desirable activity reserved for the affluent; the people most empowered to reduce their impact.

It is our responsibility to work with developing nations to better manage their GHG emissions than we have, and to do this without overly burdening and restricting developing nation’s opportunity to benefit for economic development.

Carbonza will endeavour to purchase carbon credits from verified programs that provide additionally as described by the UNFCCC CDM guidelines. These are programs that provide social, economic, health and environmental benefits to local communities in developing nations as well as the carbon credit.

Trust and respect have to be earned and we are committed to providing a transparent and verifiable end-to-end process of measurement, management, offsetting of carbon emissions for our customers, business clients and of ourselves. To date, we have purchased and retired 10 tCO2e to offset our business operations.

Carbonza aims to limit the average administration cost for carbon credits transactions to between 20-30% in order to deliver maximum offset and contribution to limiting climate change.
